Softest Place on Earth, installation view at Chateau Shatto, Los Angeles, 2022

Zeinab Saleh makes drawings, paintings and occasionally, video work. She uses charcoal, acrylic and chalk to conjure moments of softness and tenderness. Eyes, swans and snakes reappear in the work.

Recent solo exhibitions include Softest place (on earth), Camden Art Centre, London (2021), and Softest place (on earth) [Extended mix], Château Shatto, Los Angeles (2022). These two recent exhibitions referenced 90’s R&B songs and meditated on moments of tenderness. Her favourite album of all time is The Emancipation of Mimi.

Zeinab studied at the Slade School of Fine Art and has also shown work in exhibitions internationally. Her work is part of the permanent collection of the Start Museum, Shanghai.
