Thapong Visual Arts Centre  is located in Gaborone and seeks to promote unity and excellence within the Visual Arts in Botswana in all communities, through sharing skills, enabling personal growth and development and promoting arts locally and internationally through networking.

Alongside it's gallery and exhibitions programme, there are  currently 13 full-time artists working in the Centre's studios  and Thapong hope to build more of these and addition workshop space in the future. The Centre has  previously hosted an International Artists' Workshop (it's first as far back as 1989), an Artist of the Year Award, Artist Residencies and further projects, such as Tlhale's Workshop, for younger local artists.
