Taking up residence at Lugar a Dudas, Colombia, is London based curator Sabel Gavaldon. He is currently organising several research-led exhibitions in Spain and Britain, including the group show Llocs comuns (Commonplaces) at Can Felipa, Barcelona (2014); and Contratiempos, CaixaForum, Barcelona (2014), which comprises artworks from ‘La Caixa’ Collection. Other exhibitions include A Museum of Gesture, an ongoing research and curatorial project first presented at La Capella, Barcelona (2013), which brings together works by artists and collectives who examine gesture as a space of resistance, engaging with the transformative grammars and the expressive codes invented by political minorities, subcultures and subordinate groups.

Established in 2005, Lugar a Dudas is an independent, not for profit space in Cali, Colombia. The organisation aims to promote and disseminate contemporary artistic practice and functions as a laboratory for research, discussion, reflection and critical analysis through a programme of exhibitions, workshops and events.
